232 | Serendipity (2001)

As the Christmas celebrations continue on After Lunch, Michael and Rob welcome back Jody Collins to the show to talk about one of his favorite Christmas movies. It's Serendipity, starring John Cusack, Kate Beckinsale, Jeremy Piven, Molly Shannon, Bridget Moynahan, and John Corbett. The movie is a sweet and funny love story with some lovely surprises, but it also raises philosophical questions about fate, free will, and the romantic notion of The One.

174 | Marvel Comics Reboot

Back in Episode 165, we speculated what Marvel Comics might be like if they took a year off from publishing superhero comics and focused on other genres instead. In this sequel episode, Michael, Rob, and Jody Collins return to imagine how Marvel might reboot their most classic superhero series with brand new, completely different concepts and characters. Evan wasn't able to join us for this one, but stay tuned for an upcoming episode in which he reveals his own ideas for reboots of all eight series.

And stay tuned at the end of this episode for important information about the After Lunch dress code.

118 | Ocean Master's 11

We're not promising that Ocean Master actually comes up in the episode, but a bunch of other comics characters sure do. Michael, Rob, Pax, and new guest Jody Collins (the Ramblin' Man podcast) each draft a comic book Ocean's 11-style heist team to liberate a priceless artifact from an unassailable location defended by powerful guards. Listen to the episode, then head over to Twitter to vote on which team you think will succeed in the heist.

50 | Southern Road Trip

AfterLUNCH's 50th episode coincided with Michael's road trip south to see a bunch of friends he hasn't seen in a long time (and one he's never met face-to-face before). Some of them grew up in the South, some transplanted there, and some transplanted away from there, so Michael talks to them about Southern living and what movies, TV shows, and books best represent it.
