459 | Jet Pack Tiger 3: Dashiell World
This Dragonfly Ripple rerun isn’t a full episode. The behind-the-scenes details are lost ten years later, but for whatever reason, we must have been running behind getting the fourth episode done. Happily, Carlin and Dashiell came through with this short installment of "Jetpack Tiger".

456 | Dragonfly Ripple 3: Twisterns
In this rerun episode of Dragonfly Ripple: Bringing Up the Next Generation of Nerd, Michael and Carlin talked to their kids about Westerns… with a twist (or "twisterns").
Carlin and Annaliese watched the 1993-94 Bruce Campbell series on FOX, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. while Michael and David delved into the 1960s TV series (and 1990s Will Smith movie) The Wild, Wild West. Both shows are Westerns, but feature sci-fi, spy, and steampunk elements.
And the opening chat between Michael and Carlin sets up Episode 4 by talking about the order in which we present the Star Wars films to our children. Plus, in "Jetpack Tiger," we talk about the Star Wars Clone Wars cartoon.

454 | Dragonfly Ripple 2: Middle Earth Cartoons / Dungeons & Dragons RPG
In this second episode rerunning Carlin Trammel and Michael May's old Dragonfly Ripple podcast that they hosted with their kids, it's the highest of fantasy as Michael and David delve into the animated Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies while Carlin and Annaliese play some Dungeons & Dragons. This episode also features the debut of Carlin and Dashiell's "Jetpack Tiger" segment with discussion about the Lilo & Stitch movies.

434 | A Tribute to William Bruce West
Our dear friend and frequent podcast guest William Bruce West passed away on April 12. We miss him dearly. Part of the grieving process has been to talk about our friend and share memories of him, so the podcast community that Will was such an important part of has put together this tribute episode. There are personal reminiscences, but also many, many clips of Will's appearances on various shows through the years.
After Lunch is so pleased to present this episode, but we can't leave unrecognized that it was entirely produced - from initial concept to final edit - by Adam Pope, Will's regular podcasting partner these last few years. Thank you so much, Adam.
And Godspeed, Will. Rest in Peace.

424 | Dragonfly Ripple 1: Flash Gordon / Monty Python and the Holy Grail
In the first of many episodes rerunning Carlin Trammel and Michael May's old Dragonfly Ripple podcast that they hosted with their kids, here's the show's debut in which Carlin shares Flash Gordon (1980) with his daughter Annaliese and Michael shares Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) with his son David.

400 | Unfinished Business
To celebrate the 400th episode of After Lunch (give or take), Michael welcomes back the original Nerd Lunch crew - CT, Jeeg, and Pax - to wrap up some unfinished business from the Nerd Lunch days. In June 2019, Jeeg led the gang, including Michael in the Fourth Chair, in an Overs/Unders exercise to predict what might happen in the proposed Gambit movie starring Channing Tatum. Of course, we never got that movie. Or... we didn't until Deadpool & Wolverine came out last year. It's finally time to tally up the scores and see who is the Best Channing Tatum Gambit Movie Predictor of All Time. And stay tuned to the end for a rerun of the original episode in which we made our predictions.

357 | C2E2 Special – Monkey, Robot, Michael Caine
You don't put Christian Nielsen, Michael DiGiovanni, Carlin Trammel, Shawn Robare, William Bruce West, Rob Graham, Michael May, Jeeg, and Paxton Holley in a room together and not record a podcast. While at C2E2, the group (minus Jeff Somogyi who sadly was not feeling well that evening) gathered in Christian and DiGio's hotel room to revive the classic Atomic Geeks topic: "Monkey, Robot, Michael Caine." Each person suggests a movie, TV show, event, etc. and discuss what would best improve it: a monkey, a robot, or... well, you'll see.

356 | Podcast Pals C2E2 Meetup Diary
In 2015, the Nerd Lunch crew met up with most of the Atomic Geeks and assorted members of the Fourth Chair Army at C2E2 in Chicago. Ten years later, it's time to get together again with even more friends. The group this time included Carlin Trammel, William Bruce West, Jeeg, Paxton Holley, Jeff Somogyi, Shawn Robare, Michael May, Rob Graham, Christian Nielsen, and Michael DiGiovanni. In this audio diary, we learn about how the trip came together, check in with the attendees at various points of the weekend, and tease a very special podcast episode that we recorded there and will be Coming Soon.

351 | Unlikely Sitcoms
Inspired by the 2001 sitcom Emeril, Michael, Rob, Carlin Trammel, and Tim Lybarger assign each other similarly unlikely celebrities to build sitcoms around. Get ready for pitches for shows starring Bob Ross, The Cure's Robert Smith, Willie Nelson, and Theresa Caputo so that you can decide... would you watch this show?

311 | Drama and Miscellaneous TV Themes Sweet 16
Michael and Rob welcome back Carlin Trammel from last week and also John Vanover to nominate and vote on TV themes from dramas or any other genres that didn't fall into one of the previous categories we've covered. It's an especially eclectic hodge podge of musical styles this episode (making it particularly difficult to vote) in our road to determine the greatest TV theme song of all time.

310 | Action and Mystery TV Themes Sweet 16
These TV themes Sweet 16s aren't getting any easier. This time, Michael and Rob are joined by Paxton Holley and Carlin Trammel to agonize over, nominate, and vote on our favorite opening themes from action and mystery shows. It may be an impossible mission, but we'll open a bottle of magnum and try to become the greatest American heroes as we reveal the unsolved mystery of the best action/mystery theme ever.

304 | Jetpack Tiger – A Rebuttal of Animation as a TV Themes Category
The Return of Jetpack Tiger! In response to our episode on the Cartoons and Kids TV Show Themes Sweet 16, Dashiell and Carlin Trammel critique the decision to include the medium of animation as a separate category that competes with live action genres like sitcoms and action shows. Should animated shows be included with live action shows of similar genres?

291 | Movie Tie-In Glasses
Michael and Rob are joined by Carlin Trammel and Michael DiGiovanni to talk about collectible movie tie-in glasses. They discuss various ones they've collected over the years, including recent ones. But the highlight of the episode is when each panelist creates a whole line of four glasses for a movie that never got them. Carlin even created mock-ups of his line, which you can see below (click to enlarge).

192 | On Her Majesty's Secret Christmas
Since we just talked about On Her Majesty's Secret Service last episode, now seems like a good time to revisit this conversation from Michael's old Sleigh Bell Cinema podcast in which he talks with Carlin Trammel about the movie and how (or if) it functions as a Christmas movie.

178 | Picard, Season 3 (Initial Reactions)
Michael and Rob reunite with their old friend Carlin Trammel to talk in a very spoilery way about the recent, third season of Star Trek: Picard. This isn't part of After Lunch's official Star Trek Trek discussions, because those won't get to Picard for a long time. We just couldn't wait that long to talk about the season.
And again, lots of spoilers in this episode.

170 | Lost (with Annaliese and Carlin Trammel)
A couple of episodes ago, Michael and Rob talked about JJ Abrams' Mission Impossible III and the TV show Lost came up. Michael mentioned an episode of the old Dragonfly Ripple podcast where Annaliese Trammel shared her thoughts on the first two seasons with her dad, Carlin. It was a wonderful bit of podcast history, but it's not easily available anymore, so we're rerunning it. Please enjoy.
